The Environment

At Upton Specialised Tree Services we recycle 100% of the waste that is produced from day to day tree work.

Brushwood and branches up to 110mm are chipped. These chippings can be left on site, to be used as a mulch or soil improver, or removed from site where they are recycled.

Much of the chip and softwood that is generated is used as a carbon neutral bio fuel that is mixed with coal and burnt at large power stations to generate electricity for the national grid.

Hardwood that is over 110 mm is cut, split and seasoned. It is sold as firewood, and is a very cheap and efficient way to heat your home, to purchase wood, click here to visit our sales section.
